Veilingweg complex Rotterdam-Rijnmond Police, located along the A20 motorway, has undergone a major renovation, modernization and expansion. The complex, which does not serve as a public function, includes offices, archives, storage, a large canteen and an auditorium. It also provides shelter to garages and workshops for the vehicle fleet and sports and training facilities. cepezed was responsible for the complete project while cepezedinterior designed a complete new interior for the high rise office building with entrance, meeting and educationcenters, offices and a restaurant. On the ground floor, a new reception desk is realized in line with increased security standards. To guarantee all functional elements are positioned logically, three separate desks are designed in which sequentially reception, security and pantry are placed. The desks are built entirely of corian and placed on an slightly increased floor level. On the upper floors new interior formats are designed based on functional activities including desk working areas, meeting rooms and coffee and meeting spots. Workplaces are designed in various configurations and vary between a classic desk setup, informal sitting and standing work, meet and confer zones. Furniture, material and colour selections are based on these different work situations. cepezedinterior created a range of images of familiar police situations, after which police officers selected the final images to be applied on the glass walls of the meeting rooms.
